White Marlin:...Copper, Green Patina:....9 feet tall, 6'-6" foot print....For sale.$120.000.00

White Marlin; refers to the species that run free up and down the East Coast and down into South America. I thought they were beautiful so I did me one.

This was another year long project in nineteen eighty-seven. I never know how long the time will be. I just want to do, see and feel it when its done. Such a wonderful experience.

I started this piece in California and finished it in Oregon. I went north to care for dad, the Nebraska Kid. He was alone and going to heart surgery. I was there four months, in that time I completed the base.

With my Fathers full recovery and my Marlin completed, I loaded Big Dog and back I went to my California studio.

White Marlin:  This piece was done with the same fabricating technique, the shingling that I had developed and used in "Two Dolphins One Shark". I start with number four copper wire, fashioned the armature form and trussing, then applied the shaped annealed copper. solder sweating and bonding all the pieces to one another and to the skeleton.

The copper base that the Marlin is setting on, is detachable with seven stainless steel screws for ease of shipment. The body of the Marlin is nine feet long, about as big in real life as they get. You will notices the change in the color of White marlin in the different photos, that happens with the weather environment it is in and what season it my be in, wet or dry and from year to year If you would like more information and updated photos, I have it....
