JUICY JIMMY....Painted Steel....30x36x73....gone. |
This was a piece I had planned on having stand out side my gallery, like the hand carved/painted wood "cigar store Indian" is what they were called ....still are I think, that were around in my childhood. I was intrigued by them there were three in my home town. As the town grew and times changed they seemed to just vanish. If your lucky you might spot one in a gallery. I wanted something hip or post cigar store Indian. Jimmy was my conclusion. A little deferent statement, with a nondescript face, yet bold. Flashing the peace sign with his left hand and the thumbs-up sign with the right. Leaning on a wall, the left foot planted firmly on the ground the right propped up on the wall. Looking for his invisible mode. Ugene |
